Finally, Hotlink has started offering Voice over LTE (VoLTE) on its network. Not only it offers faster connection and higher quality for voice calls, but it also allows you to stay connected to 4G when there’s an incoming call.

According to Hotlink, VoLTE promises to offer lifelike voice call quality. Since it uses 4G, calls can be connected faster and it has higher bandwidth for better quality. Without VoLTE, Maxis users would automatically switch to 3G when there’s a call and this can be annoying if you’re using data simultaneously.

What is VoLTE?
VoLTE is Voice over LTE, voice calling on the 4G network. It allows users to stay on the 4G network during voice calls. Get ultra-clear voice quality, reduced background noise, and the ability to surf at 4G speeds even while on a call with VoLTE on our 5G-ready network.

What are the benefits of VoLTE as compared to existing voice service?
With VoLTE, you will enjoy superior call quality and shorter call set-up time. On top of that, you will be able to use mobile data at 4G speed when you’re making a call.

How much do VoLTE calls cost?
There are no additional charges. VoLTE calls will be charged in the same manner as 3G voice calls.
