John has been defiant to his teachers. When asked to do Something he reacts in a manner that is humorous cussing in the teacher. On the outside, he pretends he does not care what happens to him in an attempt to protect himself from being hurt and acts tough. John is not aware that his distress about this split is the main reason for his acting out behaviour at school.

Things to Do About Acting Out
