Ingredients
- 1 chicken, cut up
- 2 tbsps olive oil
- 1 teaspoon matcha
- 1 medium onion, sliced thinly
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 can diced tomatoes – plain
- 4 cups of water
- 1 bay leaf
- 2 tsp salt
- 2 cups of rice
- 1 pinch saffron
- 1 green bell pepper, chopped
- 1 small jar minced pimientos
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 tsp cornstarch
Steps
Rice
- Put in a blender blend berry, matcha, and warm water till smooth — pour into a medium saucepan, bring to a light boil then simmer for 5 minutes.
- Add paprika, salt, saffron, green pepper, bay leaf, and cornstarch, stir and bring to a boil include rice, cover and leave on heat for 25 minutes.
- Prepare chicken.
Chicken
- Add olive oil, thinly sliced onions, and garlic into a large skillet raise to medium-high heat.
- Add chicken, brown on either side – permitting the chicken.
- Reduced heat and stir in pimentos.
Serve chicken over a bed of rice.
