Ingredients
- 2 1/2 cups of flour
- 1 teaspoon matcha
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- Pinch of salt
- 1 cup softened butter
- 1 1/4 cups of granulated sugar
- 2 egg yolks
- 1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- Sugar for sprinkling
Steps
- Preheat the oven to 375 degrees. Lightly grease 2 baking sheets.
- Combine flour, matcha powder, and salt in a bowl that is large. In another bowl – cream butter. Egg yolk and vanilla extract.
- Gradually combine ingredients, blend well. Cover cellophane and chill.
- Roll the dough out. Use a cookie cutter to cut out biscuits.
- Place 1 inch apart on the prepared baking sheets.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, until lightly colored.
- Sprinkle sugar within the biscuits that are hot and transfer to wire racks to cool.
